Dah Chong Hong Holdings Won 3 Awards in the “Best Apprentice Competition”

DCH Holdings won 3 awards in the finals of the ‘2009 Best Apprentice Competition’ organized by the Vocational Training Council on 3 November at Kwai Chung Automobile Industry Training Centre. The three awards included the champion, second runner- up and a Certificate of Merit.

The three “Best Apprentices”, who are from Commercial Vehicle Service, Nissan Service Centre and OPEL SAAB Service Centre of Dah Chong Hong (Motor Service Centre) Ltd., successfully completed maintenance and repair work on a car in 30 minutes in the finals to beat other contestants. The winners of the ‘Best Apprentices’ are invited to visit the manufacturing plant and exhibition centre in Nagoya, Japan in December.

The Best Apprentice Competition was first organized by the Vocational Training Council in 1986 to arouse the awareness of employers and young people of the importance of proper training, and at the same time provide opportunities for young people to learn more about the automobile industry so as to spur their interests in joining the industry. Since 1976, DCH Holdings has been actively supporting the government’s apprenticeship programme and the satisfactory results demonstrate the dedication and effort of DCH Holdings in training its employees.

2nd Runner-up: Lo Kai Tai
