DCH Volunteer Team revisited Produce Green Foundation Organic Farm on 6 August to harvest the okra planted earlier. All the crops had been donated to The Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association Tiptop Training Centre.
Under the guidance of the mentor, volunteers carefully picked and gathered the matured pods in the baskets. They also removed weeds in the farmland allowing the okra to grow healthily.
By participating in this activity, DCH volunteers deepened the understanding of cultivating organic crops and at the same time share the natural flavor of organic agricultural products to people with disabilities.
